Belgium is a mostly neutral country, with all diplomacy values revolving around "Different Ideology", "Same Ideology" and "Same Ruling Party". They do not have any special relations with countries, but that will change quickly.
Belgium does not have any alliances to begin with.
The main part of Belgium is in the area of the Low Countries, above France. It is made up of two states, Vlaanderen and Wallonie. They have a land border with Germany (the Rhineland, which is demilitarized in the 1936 start), France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. They are not landlocked, with a sea border and Naval Base on the English Channel.
Mainland Belgium is a very diverse geographical area, yet it does contain one very important area -- the Ardennes. The Ardennes are a very large rocky forested plateau in southeast Belgium. They are known for being used by the German Military to infiltrate France and Belgium during World War 2. Also in Belgium are coastal plains in the northwest, with many sand dunes and reclaimed land. Finally, in the center is the central plateau containing large amounts of fertile land, along with bits of rocky terrain, such as caves and gorges.
They also control the Belgian Congo, a large region in the middle of Africa. There, they border the colonies of the United Kingdom, Portugal and France. It is made up of three states, Leopoldville, Stanleyville and Central Congo. It is also not landlocked, with access to the Atlantic Ocean via a small strip of land in the state of Leopoldville that contains a Naval Base. The Belgian Congo is made mostly of large tropical rain forests, as well as bits of plains and savanna in the south, grasslands in the north and mountains in the west and east.
Belgium has the same focus tree as all minor countries, with nothing completed. The tree begins with Army Effort, Naval Effort, Aviation Effort, Industrial Effort and Political Effort. Proper use can make Belgium unique compared to those with a more centralized focus tree (Germany, United Kingdom, etc.).
Belgium is subject to Germany's "Around Maginot" National Focus, where Germany will gain a war goal and justification to invade Belgium.
